It is with extreme sadness that the board of the NZ Epilepsy Foundation must acknowledge the passing of one of its great leaders… Ian Gould.
Ian fought a tough battle but finally, cruelly, the illness wore him down.
Thank you Margerie for allowing Ian to pass on his knowledge and opinions on issues right to the end.
Our learned chair for many years, Ian led the Foundation with wisdom and great empathy.
It took much of his time and we sincerely thank Ian’s family for their understanding of how important his position was to the many sufferers of epilepsy throughout New Zealand.
Through the ups and downs of maintaining the forward momentum of a national organisation such as the Epilepsy Foundation Ian always held the flag high.
He was as proud of the success of the Foundation as his board was to work alongside this man who accepted the importance of his role as leader.
Ian will be sorely missed.
RIP Ian
